Liberty & Co in the Fifties and Sixties

Liberty and Co. in the Fifties and Sixties: A Taste for Design by Anna Buruma is a treasure trove of the wonderful Liberty fabric designs from this era. Boldly coloured, exotic, and avant garde - many of the top designers of the period such as Lucienne Day, Colleen Farr, Jacqueline Groag and Robert Stewart were commissioned by Liberty & Co. to create cutting edge designs for furnishing and fashion fabrics.
This book gives a great insight into a less well-recognised moment in the history of Liberty & Co, a moment filled with riotous Carnaby Street patterns as well as the colourful revivals of Art Nouveau, Orientalism and Art Deco styles.
