A 'Field Days' bedroom

Here is the bedroom of a very happy little Hiccups customer - Harry. Harry's mum Olivia sent in these pictures of the 'Field Days' design, and wrote a lovely letter explaining how excited Harry was to move into his new 'big kid' bed from a cot. As you can see, Harry loves tractors!

Nature to hang on the wall

A few years ago I came across Deyrolle on the Rue de Bac in Paris, a wonderful cabinet of curiosities - butterflies, taxidermy, skeletons, insects, and sea shells all beautifully arranged and catalogued. My souvenirs from the visit were two teaching posters designed in the late 19th century - 'Orchidees' and 'Papillons', now framed and happily hanging on the walls of my lounge room. These posters and many more tempting items are now available in the Deyrolle on-line boutique. I think I can make room for one more.....

Bird lampshade

A beautiful lampshade made in France by Mathieu Challiere. I think it would look great in a room with our Hiccups 'Melody' bed linen design.

School Years and Birthdays by Chronicle Books

I came across these two titles on the weekend at my favourite bookshop for all things art and design related: the Avenue bookshop in Albert Park, Melbourne. Published by Chronicle Books, both titles feature great illustrations by Stephen Britt in a retro style that reminds me of Alain Gree's work of the 60's and 70's. These are wonderful keepsake style albums - a great place to store and note the important milestones of childhood.
